The Jordan Green Building Council launched the executive action plan to promote the growth of the circular economy for construction industries in Jordan, in partnership with the Center for International Private Enterprise (CIPE) and the strategic partner, the Jordan Chamber of Industry. Honorable stakeholders who had a major role in developing the action plan. Also participating in the discussion session were His Excellency the Secretary General of the Ministry of Environment, Dr. Muhammad Al-Khashashneh, Engineer Jumana Al-Kilani, Director of the Industrial Development Directorate from the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Supply, and Engineer Walid Al-Kilani, Director of Building Studies at the Ministry of Environment. The Royal Scientific Society and Engineer Maen Al-Ayasrah, Director of the Energy and Environmental Sustainability Unit at the Jordan Chamber of Industry (strategic partner), and Engineer Azzam Hamaideh, representative of BDO (Platinum Council member).
The Council's targeting of the construction industries sector in this study was a unique initiative, as the green economist, Eng. Bashar Zaitoun, presented the results of the report and the recommendations and suggestions contained in the implementation plan regarding harnessing general political tools and procedural measures to enable the growth of the green and circular economy in the construction industries of the public and private sectors.
