Jordan Green Building Council participated in the second green building conference for the Middle East and North Africa region, organized by the Emirates Green Building Council, where the conference was held using remote communication technology. Where the development of the World Green Building Council projects "Advancing Net Zero" and "Better Places of People" was discussed. Topics were also dealt with on how to improve human health and development while reducing emissions resulting from buildings, and on the development of sustainable reconstruction and rehabilitation. What might happen in the built environment until 2030 and beyond was also discussed. The winner of the “WorldGBC Chair” award was also announced. Engineer Alaa Abdullah, the previous Executive Director of Jordan GBC, presented the council's achievements during 2019, and shared with him the council's strategy to work remotely during the closure period resulting from the outbreak of the Corona pandemic.
