Bio Rotterdam for Biofuel R&D

The time is now to move into the direction of utilizing environmentally safe fuels, that will prevent the exponential increase of global warming. If we do not take action on the negative impact that our energy consumption has on the environment we may cross the point of no return. Presently, global warming can be seen in the 2003 European heat wave that killed 35,000 people. The water is getting hotter and results in unusually strong storms and other effects can be seen in severe droughts in isolated areas, and melting of the arctic ice caps.
